Georgina comes from a caring and kind family. Both of her parents are now retired. Her mother was a highly respected theatre manager at the old Lymington Hospital and her father a General Practitioner who devoted himself to providing a high quality of patient care. He continues to be an inspiration to her.
Georgina was brought up in the New Forest, studied at Walhampton School where she discovered her love and passion for horses. She then went on to Sparsholt College for three years to study horse management and riding and took her British Horse Society exams. Once qualified she spent twelve years working in different equine yards focusing on a variety of disciplines including polo, dressage, schooling and horse behaviour. She owns a beautiful horse called Mickey, who is now retired from Novice Eventing and show jumping.
Georgina's career as a rider has made her aware of how prone riders are to back and pelvis injuries. This inspired her to train as a massage therapist. Now she works often with people who have medical conditions. She also specialises in lower limb and discomfort, which can be caused by many everyday activities and sport.
Georgina has her own treatment room at her home in the New Forest. She has made it warm and welcoming for her clients. She can also offer treatments at a clients home if required.
Georgina regularly participates in Continuing Professional Development workshops to continue to add to her knowledge and skills.
Georgina values communication between herself and her clients. This is an important part of Georgina's approach to her work and she believes it is to be beneficial in producing better results.
“My time with you is time for you”
Georgina would like to take courses in equine massage therapy in the near future.
